Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 May 2026

Olympus Run: the game-specific Olympus Run Privacy Policy supersedes this general policy for Olympus Run, including its optional rewarded advertising and analytics.

This Privacy Policy describes how Brightbox Studio ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use any app published by us on the App Store. It applies to all Brightbox apps, including:

  • Olympus Run — endless runner game
  • WordQuest — dyslexia-friendly spelling game
  • FreeFall — physics puzzle game
  • AnyDraw — kids' coloring app
  • Starlet — kids' dress-up game
  • MoneySavr — bank statement analyzer
  • Any other app published under the Brightbox Studio label
The short version: we don't sell your data. We don't run ads or analytics that track you across the internet. The only data we collect is what's needed to make the apps work — your game progress, your subscription status (if any), and crash reports when something breaks.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Display name — chosen by you in-app, stored locally on your device. Some apps may show this on Game Center leaderboards if you opt in.
  • In-app purchases — handled entirely by Apple. We never see your credit card or billing details.
  • Drawings, photos, or other content you create in our apps (AnyDraw, Starlet) — stored locally on your device. We don't upload it.

Information collected automatically

  • Anonymous device identifier — generated locally on first launch, used to persist your game progress on this device.
  • Subscription status — for apps with subscriptions (Olympus Run VIP), managed by RevenueCat. They receive a hashed user ID and your purchase receipt — no name, email, or other personal data.
  • Crash reports — when an app crashes, we collect a stack trace and basic device info (iOS version, device model) via Sentry. No personal identifiers.

Information collected by Apple Game Center (optional)

If you sign into Game Center in any of our games, Apple may collect your Game Center alias, friends list, and leaderboard scores per Apple's privacy policy. We don't see this data — Apple processes it directly.

2. How we use your information

  • To save your game progress (currencies, equipped items, completed quests)
  • To process in-app purchases via Apple's StoreKit
  • To deliver subscription benefits you've purchased
  • To diagnose crashes and bugs (anonymously)
  • To display your score on Game Center leaderboards if you've opted in

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing.

3. Third-party services

4. Data retention

  • On-device data — stored on your device until you delete the app or use the in-app reset option.
  • Subscription receipts (RevenueCat) — retained as long as your subscription is active, plus 6 months for billing reconciliation.
  • Crash reports (Sentry) — retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Bank statement data (MoneySavr only) — processed in real-time and immediately discarded after parsing. Never stored on our servers.

5. Children

Several of our apps (AnyDraw, Starlet, WordQuest) are designed for or accessible to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents can use Apple's Screen Time controls to manage in-app purchases.

None of our apps display third-party advertising. None of them collect or transmit children's personal information.

6. Your rights

You can:

  • Delete all your local data via the in-app reset option (irreversible)
  • Cancel subscriptions via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Sign out of Game Center via iOS Settings → Game Center
  • Delete the app to remove all on-device data

To request deletion of subscription history (RevenueCat) or crash reports (Sentry) tied to your device, email hello@brightboxstudio.com.

7. Changes

We'll update this policy if our data practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
